Countries covered

Partner networks
Orange, SFR, Bouygues, Movistar, Vodafone, TIM, WindTre, MEO, NOS, EE, O2, Telekom, Swisscom, Sunrise, Salt

A regional plan covers every country listed above with a single eSIM. In each country, your phone connects to a local partner operator (Orange, SFR, Bouygues, Movistar, Vodafone, TIM, WindTre, MEO, NOS, EE, O2, Telekom, Swisscom, Sunrise, Salt, depending on the country). The exact list of countries and networks is shown on each plan's page.

Activation : Automatic on arrival. You can install the eSIM before departure without using any data.

eSIM, local SIM card or roaming?

Three ways to get online when you arrive. None of them is the best choice every time: it all depends on how long you are staying and what you need.

Alizeoo data eSIM

  • Installed before you leave, with no shop visit and no card to insert
  • Your usual SIM stays in place for calls and texts
  • Price including VAT known in advance, with no activation fee
  • Data only: no local number
  • You need a compatible, unlocked phone

Local SIM card

  • A local number to make calls and receive texts while you are there
  • Often good value for a long stay
  • Bought on arrival, sometimes with ID required
  • You have to remove or disable your usual SIM if your phone is not dual SIM
  • Offers and terms in the local language

Roaming with your operator

  • Nothing to install: you keep your number
  • Handy for very occasional use
  • Can be expensive outside the zones included in your plan
  • Rates and allowances to check with your operator before you travel

If your mobile plan is from a European Union country, roaming within the EU is generally charged as it would be at home (the “Roam like at home” rule), within the limits set by your operator.

Detailed comparison: eSIM, local SIM card or roaming.

Install your eSIM in 3 steps

  1. Choose a plan and pay: the QR code and installation link arrive by email and in your account.
  2. Before you leave, on Wi-Fi: scan the QR code or tap “Install in one tap”. Name the line Alizeoo.
  3. When you arrive: choose Alizeoo for mobile data and turn on data roaming for that line.

You need a phone that supports eSIM and is carrier-unlocked. As a guide: iPhone XS, XR and later, Google Pixel 3 and later, Samsung Galaxy S20 and later. Most iPhones sold in mainland China do not have eSIM: check your model.

Staying connected: Europe

One eSIM for several countries

Your plan stays the same when you cross a border: your phone connects to a partner operator in the country you are in. Leave network selection on automatic.

Check the list of countries

The countries covered vary between regional plans (Switzerland, the United Kingdom or the Balkans are not always included). The exact list is on each plan's page.

European roaming

If your mobile plan is from a European Union country, roaming within the EU is generally included within your operator's limits. A regional plan is mainly useful if you come from a country outside the EU or need more data.

Frequently asked questions: eSIM, Europe

Europe: which networks does the Alizeoo eSIM use?

For this destination (Europe), plans use the following partner operators: Orange, SFR, Bouygues, Movistar, Vodafone, TIM, WindTre, MEO, NOS, EE, O2, Telekom, Swisscom, Sunrise, Salt. The exact network for each plan is shown on its page before you buy.

Europe: can I install the eSIM before I travel?

Yes, and we recommend it: install it at home on Wi-Fi, then activate it when you arrive (mobile data on Alizeoo, data roaming turned on). The plan's validity period generally starts the first time you connect in the covered country; the plan's page gives the details.

Europe: will I get a phone number?

No. Alizeoo provides mobile data, with no phone number and no standard calls. Internet calling apps (WhatsApp, FaceTime, Messenger and so on) work over data, and your usual SIM can stay active to receive calls and texts.

Do I need to do anything when I change country?

Generally not: your phone connects to the partner network in the new country. If the connection does not come back, turn Airplane Mode on and off again, or choose the network manually.

Are Switzerland and the United Kingdom included?

It depends on the plan. Check the list of countries on its page before you buy.
