How it works
- Usual line: calls, texts, verification codes. Its data and data roaming are turned off.
- Alizeoo line: mobile data, with data roaming turned on.
On iPhone
- Open Settings → Mobile Data → Mobile Data and choose Alizeoo.
- Turn off Allow Mobile Data Switching, so the iPhone does not use your usual line when the Alizeoo signal weakens.
- Tap your usual line and turn off Data Roaming. Leave the line turned on to receive calls and texts.
- Check that the Default Voice Line and iMessage and FaceTime are using your usual number.
On Android
- In the SIM settings (Samsung: SIM manager; Pixel: Network & internet → SIMs), choose Alizeoo for mobile data.
- Leave your usual SIM for calls and texts.
- Turn off data roaming on your usual SIM, and the automatic data switching option if there is one.
Good to know
- Receiving a call or text while roaming may be charged by your usual operator, depending on your plan: check before you travel.
- Verification codes sent by text (banks, apps) arrive on your usual number: keep that line turned on.
- Internet calls (WhatsApp, FaceTime and so on) use the eSIM's data.
Frequently asked questions
Will I be charged if someone calls me?
It depends on your usual operator: receiving calls while roaming is free in some zones and charged in others. Check with them.
Can I use WhatsApp with my usual number?
Yes. WhatsApp stays linked to your number; it simply uses the data of the line chosen for internet, in this case the eSIM.
